In 1991 Simple Shoes was born as a reaction to all the over-hyped, over marketed, and over-teched sneakers out there. In 2004 Simple Shoes had an epiphany – when it comes to being planet friendly in the footwear industry the status quo is crap. Nobody plays nice with Mother Nature, if we’re going to change the world, shouldn’t we start with ourselves?
In 2005 the Green Toe collection was introduced – two styles made from all natural materials and in 2007 they took it a bit further introducing shoes made out of recycled products like car tires and plastic bottles – the ecoSneaks range is born.
